Hi everyone!

Again my thanks to you all for your generous and kind thoughts. I feel so proud to be a part of this fantastic forum.

I always intended coming back, try keeping me away! I figured the 'emailer' would undoubtedly want to see a reaction. Why read the book and stop before the last chapter? Go to the cinema and walk out 10 minutes before the end? Go to these lengths to remain anonymous but not know the outcome? I have kept coming back, as many will have realised, just so I could see who was frequently returning to the forum, especially to this thread. They need my reaction but sorry to say "you ain't getting one because I'm really not that bothered".

I do have a concern though that it may be someone we know well who feels slighted by something I've said, and is perhaps feeling very unhappy and perhaps unwell. I don't know, maybe treatments aren't working or perhaps a feeling of desperation at this darned disease! If that is the case please get in touch. There will be no song or dance, better to clear it up now and start again. No-one will know I will just post to the effect that matters are sorted. Your choice, I cannot do or say fairer than that. You know where I am! Perhaps at the same time you could let me know how I get rid of this virus you've donated! Blinking laptop keeps overheating and shutting down RollEyes dammit!

Louis got off to China at 5am and a bunch of very excited children met at school (all early for once!). They won't be there yet though, changed in Abu Dhabi for a flight to Beijing at 6.30pm and will reach their hotel at 4am our time tomorrow. Thank you to those of you who asked about him Smile

I do want to comment on some of your posts but I'll have to get my 'boy wonder' to have a look at this silly machine. It's doing my head in!!
Love to all,

Lyn x

Oh Lyn

I've only just seen this but wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you. I'm so glad that you're having this looked into and while I feel angry that someone could do that to you, I feel sad that they don't realise what a wonderful group of people we have on this forum and just by asking for some help, we would support them through whatever unhappiness they have right now.

On another note... very jealous of Louis going to China. I had the wonderful opportunity of visiting Shanghai 5yrs ago and fell in love with its beauty and culture... Even did tai chi with some of the locals in peoples square BigGrin

Dear Lyn
I am so sorry you have had such a horrid thing happen to you, I find it unbelievable that another adult can act so cruelly and sneakily.
Please report it as this sort of thing can not be allowed to continue. You are a very pleasant lady and I for one have enjoyed your comments very much and I do feel that
this forum is the place for us to air our views, whatever they are, not of course to make hurtful comments and i do not think that you have ever done that. Take care and please carry on posting.
Love Melanie

This is horrible, I don't like hearing about things like this - it makes very uncomfortable reading, please don't let it get you down Lyn xxxxx
Your posts are great, very knowledgeable and I have found them very useful - they always make a lot of sense to me.
This harrassment and bullying needs to be dealt with by someone who can trace the sender. Hope you are able to get some resolution and an apology. Whoever it is has a problem and probably needs some help.
Lots of people have said they find your posts supportive and interesting, I do too ....and as well as that I think you're really nice too - so just wanted to send a big hug your way with lots of love from Liz xxxxx

Hello guys!

Thanks again for all your posts everyone. I have been completely taken aback by the response and the support.

Laptop now sorted and virus removed! NRAS are aware of the problem and have the details of the 'emailer'. I have also spoken to the police (this sort of thing is a criminal offence) and my Internet service provider. I can do no more at this juncture. Will let it lie for now but intend to remain vigilant Cool

If anyone else receives anything like this please do let NRAS know. It needs to be stopped in its tracks to maintain the safety and security of the forum for the benefit of us all.

Good on you, Lyn, for rising above it all. I'm glad you're still posting, we won't let these sort of people get to us. What I can't understand is how someone can look at our posts if they're not members of NRAS. (?)

I'm off to Suffolk in the morning, so will have a lot to catch up with when I return.

Hi Lyn

Unfortunately whoever emailed me is an NRAS member, they knew things that I had posted, but seems to have chosen to set up another email account so that it couldn't be checked back through NRAS records. I think, personally, it is someone who is known to us otherwise why go to these lengths to cover up? Well planned I would say but people like this invariably make a mistake along the way so I have no doubt that at some point their identity will be exposed. There again it could be hacker ... but I doubt that, I mean why bother hacking a site such as this we're hardly trading government secrets!

I'm not too worriedSmile Have a lovely time in Suffolk Lyn,

Hi Lyn

As you say it is a little unfortunate it was a member, but as they say in life - you always get one - and we have - it has affected us all. Of course whats the point of worrying, you know how much we all care about you and respect you for your advice and support all the time.

Not trying to push you into it Lyn, but I think you would do a brilliant job of starting up a new group, as long as you feel up to it - you always give 110 % !

Love Julia xx

Hi Lyn

I hope you are ok. I've just been watching 'This Morning' really interesting interview about internet bullying, I immediately thought of you, being a newbie to forums I found it quite informative. The lady who was bullied was obviously really distressed by what had happened to her, but the so called expert said that everyone who logs onto a forum will have an I.P number (havn't a clue what this is), but every police station has an officer who deals with this type of crime.

Lovely to see you back and giving advice Lyn.

It makes me a bit wary of using the forum when there is someone around who will go to such lengths.
Glad you are back anyway Lyn.

I agree with you Doreen. I find it makes me wary of posting and am upset that NRAS have not said what they are doing to trace the culprit.
